OUR DOGS
Meet the Team
FTAW Nossewej Causing Chaos
(FTCH Morfudd Mungo ex Jem's Shooting Star)
Spud was born in 2012, one of four pups in Jem's first litter. He is an extremely hard hunting spaniel and taught Steve a lot. He competed in field trials achieving his stud book number. He is now retired.
FTAW Nossewej Here Comes Trouble
(FTCH Morfudd Mungo ex Jem's Shooting Star)
Sister to Spud, Marmite is her mother's daughter. She has been a pleasure to train and Tracey competed with her in both working tests and Field Trials. Her best result in a Field Trial was a 3rd position. Marmite is now retired. Marmite is mum to Dottie.
Nossewej Rinky Dinky
(FTCH Biteabout Conquest of Wrenmarsh ex Nossewej Here Comes Trouble)
Dottie is Marmite's daughter. She is a quirky little spaniel who always wants to please. Steady to game, she is a reliable member of Tracey's beating team.
FTAW Moonreed Bullet at Nossewej
(Sherriemarsh Black Night ex FTW Beechesblaze Papina of Moonreed)
Chubba joined us when he was six months old and a blank canvas. He is an extremely keen retriever and his training is progressing well; he really wants to please. Tracey started trialling him during 2021/2022 and he was awarded his first COM at the ECSS All Aged A/V Spaniel Field Trial on 11 January 2022.
Chubba is now part of Steve's picking up team, and in 2024 qualified as a Pets As Therapy dog.
FTCH Shiveck Piccolo at Nossewej
(FTCH Deepfleet Van Persie ex FTCH Surefly Sassy)
Steve felt extremely privileged to add Dora to his kennels, as he had long admired her parents, with both qualifying several times for the Springer Championships. Dora has proven to be a dream to train. At the tender age of 19 months, Steve entered her into her first Field Trial in October 2020, indeed her first competition of any kind. After a 2 dog run-off, Dora was declared the winner of the London Working Spaniel Society Novice A/V.
Steve is now running Dora's in Open FTs, and she received her first Open award, a COM, on 3 November 2021. She has now received several awards during the 2022/23 season including a 4th and 2nd, before achieving her first Open win on 19 November 2022 at the LWSS Open A/V FT. Steve and Dora competed at the 2022/23 Championships in Scotlane.
Dora's success in FTs has continued, and in November 2024, she achieved her 2nd Open win meaning she had acquired the title Field Trial Champion. A first for Steve. She has joined her daughter FTCH Nossewej Fantine of Purlodge with this title.
Competing in the 2025 Championship at Blenheim, she unfortunately failed on a retrieve on her second run.
FTAW Nossewej Javert
(OFTAW Nossewej Lost My Marbles ex FTCH Shiveck Piccolo at Nossewej)
Meet Gavin, the dog pup we have kept from the 'adorables' litter.
He is the most laid back dog we have ever owned, sleeping whenever he isn't working. It took a while for him to engage his gears, but now he has found them he is a joy to train. He has now qualified out of Novice Working Tests having won at the Leconfield Working Spaniel Club in March 2023. Gavin has achieved a number of novice FT awards, with his best result being 2nd at the ECSS Novice AV FT held at Wherstead in January 2025. He has also received Guns' Choice on two separate occasions.
Shiveck Snowstorm
(FTCH Shiveck Primat ex FTW Shalloakwest Skeet)
Meet Nessa who has joined our team. Born in August 2025 with Dora's litter sister as her mum. She is a sweet-natured springer and Tracey is looking forward to their journey.
Gone, but never forgotten .......
Wenskip Keeping The Promise
(Hibaldflush April Showers at Wenskip ex Candy Rose Star at Wenskip)
Deefa
(07.10.05 to 12.12.19)
Our first spaniel and the one that sparked the passion for the breed. Deefa was definitely a challenge for first time spaniel owners, but she was also the most loving of dogs, and Steve was her world. She will always be fondly remembered
Belvden Stonesby Ashes
(FTCH Denford Danny of Belvden ex Galrowan Marston of Belvden)
Sage
(13.11.06 to 10.06.21)
Sage was our second spaniel, and she was born to hunt. She loved nothing more than hitting brambles and hedges at 100mph. She was definitely one of a kind, and will never be forgotten.
Jem's Shooting Star
Jem
(07.07.08 to 24.02.24)
Jem was the start of our Nossewej lines, having two litters with FTCH Morfudd Mungo. She was a loving, biddable spaniel who loved nothing more than working with Steve.
Her legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren.
